A thin smear or impression of the material should be made on a clean glass slide and air dried. The staining will be done on the air dried slide at the Rollins laboratory. Slides should be made of fluid specimens prior to shipment. Slides need to be sent in slide mailers placed in a box or else they will be crushed by the roller at the post office.
